Publication Ethics

The editorial board of the scientific journal "Obraz" operates based on the following transnational principles:

  • Adheres to the requirements of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) – Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and the Berlin Declaration Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities.
  • Upholds editorial independence;
  • Prioritizes discussion and debate;
  • Resolves any conflicts of interest in accordance with an established mechanism;
  • Encourages and supports scientific integrity and ethical practices;
  • Prioritizes intellectual standards and material quality over financial, political, or commercial considerations;
  • Addresses the scientific needs and interests of authors and readers;
  • Systematically works on improving the scientific journal;
  • Ensures the quality of published materials;
  • Guarantees anonymity in the "Author – Reviewer(s)" relationship;
  • Informs authors about publication rules and requirements;
  • Provides freedom of expression for article authors;
  • Monitors adherence to intellectual property rights;
  • Develops guidelines and rules for manuscript review;
  • Establishes mechanisms for resolving conflicts of interest;
  • Promptly publishes corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies when necessary;
  • Allows for the possibility of appeals;
  • Adheres to tolerance and respect in communication.
