Publication Ethics
The editorial board of the scientific journal "Obraz" operates based on the following transnational principles:
- Adheres to the requirements of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) – Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and the Berlin Declaration Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities.
- Upholds editorial independence;
- Prioritizes discussion and debate;
- Resolves any conflicts of interest in accordance with an established mechanism;
- Encourages and supports scientific integrity and ethical practices;
- Prioritizes intellectual standards and material quality over financial, political, or commercial considerations;
- Addresses the scientific needs and interests of authors and readers;
- Systematically works on improving the scientific journal;
- Ensures the quality of published materials;
- Guarantees anonymity in the "Author – Reviewer(s)" relationship;
- Informs authors about publication rules and requirements;
- Provides freedom of expression for article authors;
- Monitors adherence to intellectual property rights;
- Develops guidelines and rules for manuscript review;
- Establishes mechanisms for resolving conflicts of interest;
- Promptly publishes corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies when necessary;
- Allows for the possibility of appeals;
- Adheres to tolerance and respect in communication.
